The Lakes Country Club Dues & Fees
(Effective July 1, 2009)
The initiation fee for golf is $10,000. Membership is available only through property ownership. A membership is available to an owner that is: 1) a family, which includes husband, wife and all unmarried children under age 25 that resides at home or attend college; 2) an unmarried owner and his/her cohabitant; or 3) a designated individual of a partnership, corporation etc. Refer to the CC&R’s for a complete definition and description of types of memberships. Each home must have at least one social membership but not more than four. A social membership entitles the member to clubhouse privileges, fitness center, tennis, member social activities, food and beverage purchases and tennis and golf shop purchases with 30% discount on soft good items. A minimum transfer fee of $185 and doc fee of $300 is charged to the seller when property changes ownership.
Homeowner’s DuesAll homeowners pay $175 per month social dues plus homeowner’s dues of $595 and a cable TV charge of $32.00 for a monthly total of $802.00. The dues pay for all landscape, road and facilities maintenance, 24 hour security including in home electronic security, building insurance, exterior building maintenance (painting, etc.), roof maintenance, and building earthquake insurance. There is a minimum food and beverage charge of $1,000 that must be used during the fiscal year – July 1 – June 30. There is a reserve replenishment fee due from all new homeowners in an amount equal to 9 times the homeowner’s dues or, at this time, $5,355.
Golf For those who elect to play golf, the monthly dues are $410 in addition to the one time $10,000 initiation fee. The $10,000 may be paid in one lump sum upon activation or in 5 annual installments of $2,100 with the first installment due at activation and the remaining 4 each year on July 1. Total monthly dues and fees with a golf membership are $1,212.00. There is an annual cart trail fee of $550. Only one golf membership per unit is allowed.
THE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB COMMUNITY
The Lakes Country Club is a private club located on 380 acres off of Country Club Drive between Cook Street and Eldorado Drive in the popular city of Palm Desert.
There are 902 condominium homes, each with a unique golf course or lake view. All of the property and facilities are jointly owned and managed by the homeowners through the Lakes Country Club Association, Inc. Management is vested in a nine member Board of Directors elected by the homeowners. The Board oversees all operations, which are conducted by a highly professional staff headed by a General Manager. The Board is assisted by a variety of volunteer committees that advise it on matters relating to golf, tennis, house functions, finance and social.
The grounds consist of flourishing green lawns, mature shade and ornamental trees, accented with desert flowers and attractively landscaped street scenes all carefully integrated into the dominant landscape theme of the golf course - lakes and waterfalls. Each home is convenient to one or more of 48 crystal clear swimming pools and hot bubbly spas. At the center is a magnificent 45,000 square foot club house containing a grill, a fully equipped pro shop and a main dining room and lounge overlooking the majestic Santa Rosa Mountains. A 5,000 square foot health and fitness center was constructed in 1997 and expanded in 2001.
A 24 hour security guard controls the entrance gate and provides roving patrol throughout the community. Additional security is provided in each home by an electronic security system maintained and monitored by Lakes security personnel.
THE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB GOLF

THE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB TENNIS

A spectacular tennis clubhouse overlooks a lavishly landscaped center court with stadium seating. The completely furnished pro shop provides the latest in tennis fashion and equipment. |
